Dear University community,

  • Finals exams are nearly done. Commencement Exercises are scheduled for Wednesday, May 10, at the Sames Auto Arena.
  • The 11 a.m. ceremony will be for candidates for undergraduate and graduate degrees from the A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, the College of Education, and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
  • The 4 p.m. ceremony will be for candidates for undergraduate and graduate degrees from the College of Arts and Sciences and University College.
  • Our Spring 2023 Commencement Speaker for both ceremonies is Imelda Navarro, president of Retail Banking for the International Bank of Commerce’s (IBC) sales and operations for 167 branches in Texas and Oklahoma.
  • Prior to Wednesday’s ceremonies, candidates for graduation are strongly encouraged to view a Commencement Rehearsal video at https://youtu.be/HUbZlfJRcL0. Family and friends attending Wednesday’s ceremonies should review the Sames Auto Arena bag policy and guidelines, available here.
