This week, in Music, we learned about chord progression. We learned to play different chords on the glockenspiel and played them continuously.
Look at the concentration on our faces!
In Humanities, we are learning about the Anglo-Saxons and thought about Anglo-Saxon settlements this week.
We thought about what would be in an Anglo-Saxon settlement and worked together to create one.
We are going to have a go at drawing a scaled version of a plan in our next lesson.
Continuing the theme of the Anglo-Saxons, we looked at different designs of brooches.
We considered the materials, colours, shapes and textures used.
Also this week, we were lucky enough to have a visit from paralympian Anna Nicholson.
She competed in the F35 shot put event in this year’s Paralympics in Paris and came third, receiving a bronze medal.
We asked her lots of questions about her event and experience of being at the games.
Mr Rundle was keen to find out what the food was like in the Olympic Village…typical Mr Rundle!
….and we were in awe of her bronze medal.
Some of us even got to hold her shot put which weighed 3kg!
In PE, we learned some skills to use in a rugby game.
We had to do PE indoors as the weather was rubbish!
