About Me
Some of my hobbies are reading, painting, and being with my dog. I like the colors black, red, cyan, and midnight purple. The music that I will listen to is any kind but classical I do not like classical music. I have two dogs and one cat. One of the dogs is half black lab and something else. The other dog is a german shepherd mixed with blue or red heeler. I live with my mom, dad, and sister in a four bedroom house. The pitcher was taken when my dog decided to jump into my lap and get some attention.
Principles of Design
With the pitcher above I was trying to get a close up of the sunflower to show its pleasing looks. With the sunflower being the main place of light it brings the attention to it. The darkness around it is kinda pinpointing where to look for the attractiveness that is there. You can kinda see that other flowers in the background of the main one and that is also telling that the one flower was not alone. My main goal to taking this pitcher was to show the niceness of nature.
Studio Portraits
The goal that I had in mind when taking this one was to get the closeness of the two friends and how happy that can be around eachother. The way it is edited makes it look a little bit cleaner then what it was. The lighting is showing the happy expressions on their faces and how they trust the other one. You can tell that they care for each other and do not want to have the friendship get ruined.
Still Life
My goal in this pitcher was to get some random things together and show that you can make something pretty out of it. I found the objects in Mrs. Hoffman's class room and asked if I could take a pitcher of them along with moving them around. With the way that they are it brings out each ones different aspects that they have. You could also use the same objects and take a hole lot more with them each looking different from the other ones.
Lighting
The goal with this pitcher was to get the way the light in the sky could be affected by the clouds that are there as well. When I was taking the pitcher I got a power line in the way but it adds some detail to the pitcher itself. I edited it to lower some of the light and make it a little bit clearer to see when looking at it. You can kinda see where the sun was when the pitcher was taken and kind of tell how it would of looked without being edited.
Toy's
The goal in this pitcher was to sow the small details that were put into the toy's that were used. I spent quite a bit of time trying to make the setup look good and where you can see all that I wanted to be shown. The editing made it look kind of like it was ether in a dream or something else and I think that adds to the small toys used.
Outdoor Portraits
The goal with this one was to bring out the people used and have the sun as a form a natural lighting. The lighting is hitting them both just right allowing them to have a sun kissed glow to part of their faces. This was took seconds after Hannah got some grass in her hair thanks to A.
Pet Pitchers
The goal in this was to have a nice pitcher of my dog looking out the window at some of the cows and have the sun shining down onto his face for a good effect. He jumped onto my bed right before I could get a pitcher of him on the floor. It could of been edited better and if I was better at doing that it would look so much better.
Zoo Field Trip
The goal of this pitcher was to get the pretty wolf and the nature around it. As I was taken the pitchers the wolf ended up jumping onto on of the rocks and it was in one of my other pitchers so I cropped everything out except for that part. The way that I edited it brings more of the color out and gives it a little more life.
Close Up of Sunflower
The goal of this one was to show the texture of the flower petals and the middle of the flower. The sun light is hitting the flower in the right area allowing it to show some of the shadow with the flower. The pitcher allows you to see and the little imperfection that is there and to appreciate the pretty flower more.
Texter
There was no real goal to this pitcher besides to have the cool effect of having two different sides. The editing to the pitcher gives you the feel that the book is old and slowly wearing away. This pitcher is not one of my favorites but I do think I did a good jog when taking the pitcher.
Pet
The goal of this one was to get my dog to stay still long enough for me to one put the food on his head and two to take the pitcher. The pitcher brings out the dog and the food both at the same time. The editing allows you to focus on the doge the most.
Studio Portraits
The goal of this pitcher was once again to bring out the people in the pitcher and not focus on the back. The people was told to do what they wanted at that moment and they both look engaged in what was on the phone so I took the pitcher. The editing gives some light to their faces and blurs out the background as to not take that attention that way.nd
Real Life as Toys
The goal in this one was to take the person back into time of the wars and let them be a small part of history. The way the little people were placed made a great opportunity to make it look like a part of a newspaper. The editing was to help enhance the fact it is old and an antech.
Texture Of a Tree
The goal of this pitcher was to show the dessine of the tree bark and how it is all going to be different. I had to get really close to the tree to get this pitcher and and the same time to not fall. The editing of the pitcher and the way it was taken allows the top part to be in more focus than the bottom.
End
My favorite assignment in the class would have to be the Portraits and the reason being that I got an excuse to take pitchers of my friends and family without them complaining about it. Some of the pitchers I took and people that do not like their pitcher being taken but they allowed me to take them for that one time just so they could miss class and I could get the assignment done. The progress that I have made in the class I would say was a lot because when I started I did not know how to edit or take a decent pitcher but know I can make them look fairly good. The pitcher will not be the best but they still look like I tried instead of just taking a pitcher without thinking about it.
