Week 4 Welcome back to our class blog!

Times Tables - We have continued to learn our times tables ready for our test in May. This week, we looked at the 6 times tables. We sang them, counted back and forwards and played some games.
R.E - This week, we have been looking at religious equality. We looked at different stories which helped us to understand the meaning of equality. One story we really enjoyed was the story of the blind men. They all touched a different part of the elephant’s body so had different ideas of what the elephant looked like. The children were able to understand that they needed to touch all of the elephant to know what it was. They were great in knowing that sometimes we are not always right and have to respect other opinions!
We also looked at the story of Guru Nanak and the message he was sent to spread by God. He was tired of people arguing about who had the better religion, so God sent him a message to tell everyone that we are all equal.
English - This week, we decided to use all of our new knowledge about volcanoes to create a report. We researched facts online before creating our own sub-headings and putting these facts into paragraphs.
Our star of the week this week showed great sportsmanship towards his peers - well done!

Thank you for reading our class blog 😊
