Rank Ocean is a five piece experimental rock band, located in San Diego, Ca. After banding in 2019, a debut self-titled release of eight songs was written by the band and produced by guitarist, Ryan Parker in October 2020. Since then, Rank Ocean has started work on a second album and has began preforming live throughout SD. Definite influences of progressive rock, alternative and indie are brought together in an original upbeat and atmospheric style.

RANK OCEAN’S MUSIC IS an extension of rOck, typIcally ALTERING TIME AND SPACE THROUGH a DUO OF ELECTRIC GUITARS, Adding textures with SYNTHS and percussion BEHIND A powerhouse of a RYTHM SECTION. THE EXPERIENCE IS BROUGHT TOGETHER Through POETIC lYrics, written and Sung With Memorable MELODIES and A UNIQUE VOICE THAT COmpletes The band. HOMETOWN FRIENDS and longtime fellow musicians, arturo and ABRAHAM STARTED A JAM PROJECT WITH DRUMMER, EDGAR in 2019. RYAN WOULD soon aFter join the Trio and begin to assist in the SONGWRITING PROCESS And overall recording and production. After DECIDING a vocalist was needed, RAQUEL was recruited TO FRONT THE BAND. The next Two years would be spent writing, recording, releasing and rehearsing music In a house in la jolla, ca. THE DIFFERENT INFLUENCES AND MUSICAL UPBRINGINGS FROM EACH MemBer Are All SIGNIFICANT aspects oF the music And over the years, has allowed The band to continue to Push each other in creating An Authentic sound, Blending various types of Alternative and indie rock, In a progressive sTYle.
