My project focuses on nature and the environment that is found on Earth. The first pictures I ever took were of flowers and the beach, and those images inspired me to be involved in photography. While growing up, I always had a connection with nature, which brought positivity and light into my life. My pictures share the beauty that nature holds but also hides. My project involves images of insects, animals, plants, landscapes, and the overall environment that was made naturally. Additionally, the light in nature will be captured and can include sunrises along with sunsets. The goal of these images is to share the life that exists in the wild and to portray the beauty in mother nature found in the planet that we live on.
About the Artist:
Tiareth Lopez-Cruz is a fifteen-year-old that is a Costa-Rican American photographer. She was born and raised in New Jersey where she continues to grow her passion for photography. She is a sophomore that attends Somerville High School where she is constantly involved with her community. She continues to experiment with the hobby throughout all four seasons of the year to form stories that can be shared to the public.
This project was created in Future Imagemakers in the Department of Photography and Imaging at Tisch School of the Arts, NYU in Spring 2022.
