Program Activity
The Department of Physician Assistant Studies held procedural skills labs for paracentesis and nasogastric tubes.
BSOM Simulation, College of Nursing, and School of Social Work worked together to create an interprofessional scenario involving a patient overdose and rehabilitation plan. It was streamed online to the School of Social Work for their faculty to promote interprofessional activities.
EastCare held quarterly continuing education in the BSOM Simulation Center. Topics included adult and pediatric airway, EKG interpretation, and case-based scenarios.
BSOM and College of Nursing students participated in interprofessional scenarios in the Transitions to M4 course.
GME residencies continue monthly simulation programs, including Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care, and others. The central venous catheter course for residents, fellows, and advanced practiced providers is also still offered monthly.
