Adobe Digital Literacy Café
[Reengaging 2022]
We are all familiar with the disconnections and disengagements that mounted throughout the pandemic and peaked in Spring 2022 for both students and faculty. Now, as we turn our attention to the new school year, this Adobe Digital Literacy Café will focus on turning the corner and improving student and faculty engagement through experiential learning and transformative pedagogies. Join Adobe and other guests who will share their outlooks for the new academic year during a live webinar on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:00 am ET.
CITI is pleased to announce a new asynchronous resource, the Course Design Incubator. In this course, we will guide you through each step of the course design process based on the ADDIE model of instructional design. This course demystifies the course design and development process to set you and your students up for success. You'll get valuable feedback along the way from CITI staff with instructional design expertise. And by the end, you'll be first-day ready.
📚 Book of the Month
In Black Male Success in Higher Education, Christopher C. Jett examines the experiences of a cohort of 16 Black male math majors. Through the lenses of Black masculinity and critical race theory, the author employs an asset-based approach to tell a captivating story about this cohort within a racially affirming learning community. The book features insights regarding Black males’ persistence in mathematics, ethnographic data that brings a math learning community to life, and draws upon race-related frameworks to document Black male success in college.
