Week 8 Wel back to our class blog!

Reading - This week we paid a visit to our school library to change our books ready for the half term. The children love to sit and read their books in the library 📖

Maths - We have started to look at area this week in maths. We learnt that to work out the area we have to work out length x width. We know that the area is the space inside of a shape.

Oracy - We practised our oracy skills this week, focusing on communication. The children had to take it in turns to describe the way 6 Lego bricks were built while the other tried to build it. This meant the children had to be specific in their vocabulary and show good listening.

Science - We finished our topic on electricity by writing up a report on our conductor and insulator investigation. We tested different materials to see if they were conductors or insulators. We found out that metal is the best conductor.

On Friday, we had our Halloween party! The children wore some great costumes and had a great time.
