PARRIS PRECISION & PERFECTION 2023

Mason Parris posted a perfect 33-0 record this season en route to the NCAA heavyweight title and becoming Michigan's first-ever Hodge Trophy recipient.

Parris won the NCAA heavyweight title with a 5-1 decision over Penn State's Greg Kerkvliet in the championship final.

Parris outscored his NCAA opponents, 49-6, over five matches, including a 16-1 technical fall over Iowa's Tony Cassioppi in the semifinals.

Parris was the honorary captain at the Michigan football Spring Game and was personally congratulated by Michigan President Santa Ono, along with U-M Hockey Hobey Baker Trophy winner, Adam Fantill.

Michigan placed sixth at the NCAA Championships.

Will Lewan and Cam Amine also earned repeat All-America honors, placing eighth at 157 pounds and fourth at 165 pounds, respectively.

Mason Parris also captured the Big Ten heavyweight title with an 5-3 overtime win in front of an exuberant crowd of his family and fans, when Michigan hosted the Big Ten Championships at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.

The Wolverines placed fifth at the Big Ten Championships.

Head coach Sean Bormet shared team updates heading into the final day of Big Ten competition and Athletic Director Warde Manuel applauded the rich history of the Michigan wrestling program, thanked attendees for their ongoing support of our programs and emphasized how much it impacts our success.

Team 101 was celebrated at the year-end banquet on April 2nd.

Thank you to our seniors who gave impressive speeches at the banquet and for all their hard work and dedication to Michigan wrestling. We are so grateful to forever call you Michigan Wrestling Alumni!

Malik Amine (74kg, San Marino), Myles Amine (86kg, San Marino), Matt Finesilver (92kg, Israel) and Ben Honis (97kg, Italy) traveled to Zagreb, Croatia, to compete in the European Championships April 17-19th.

Next Up: US OPEN - Las Vegas, Nevada April 26-28th

World silver medalist Adam Coon is BACK and will represent CKWC in this year's Greco-Roman field on April 26 & 27th

Nathan Tomasello (61kg), Alec Pantaleo (70kg), Alex Dieringer (79kg), J'den Cox (97kg), Mason Parris (125 kg) and Derek White (125kg) will represent CKWC at the US Open in senior men's freestyle.
